This section is all about those organisations who have supported our vision for a world class sporting event in the city.

Hull City Council is committed to sport and active recreation in the community. We hope our support of a marathon in Hull will encourage the whole community to get involved in making the occasion one our city can be proud of and which individuals taking part can achieve their personal goals.

BBC Radio Humberside is proudly supporting the Hull Marathon this year.  Tune in to us to hear all the build-up and live coverage on the day itself.  You can hear us on your mobile or tablet via the BBC i Player at bbc.co.uk/radiohumberside. You can also tune in to 95.9FM, digital radio or through your television on Freeview channel 721.

Whoever you are and however far you’re planning to run, we’d love to hear your story about why you’ve decided to take part.   You might even get to tell your story on the radio.

We love to be at the centre of the big events in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire – so give us a listen if you’ve never tuned in before.

If you’d like a shout out on the radio, text us on 81333, starting your message with RH. Our presenter Phil White will be at West Park to see everyone off and soak up the atmosphere, so give him a wave!

The Hull Marathon & LKR Events Ltd are delighted to team up again with Fitmums and Friends for this year’s event. Fitmums & Friends have been a great support as part of the dynamic volunteer team which includes the new look “Pinks & Blues” to see you through in the latter stages of the marathon.

Fitmums and Friends is a not for profit, athletics club affiliated to England Athletics. All Clubs are led by volunteers who are passionate about supporting members of their community to become more active. Founded by Sam Barlow BEM in 2009, they continue to grow with 10 groups across Yorkshire & the Humber; a cycle squad, choir and much more. You’re assured of a warm and loud but friendly welcome at each relay change over and their support in mile 24 from the Pinks & Blues.
